TC4DC project started with the elaboration of an integrated Survey report on good practices in Dual Careers of athletes and coaches based on club educational and training programs in EU with special focus on education and trainings for sport management in tennis and other sports. The Survey report includes needs assessment of the major needs of TC4DC target group in terms of Dual career services and programs and made a research on the state of Dual career services in the tennis clubs in Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece, Romania and Austria through online questionnaires, expert interviews and focus groups with the target group and the club managers and described the best practices in this area.

The research methods of the survey are literature, document reviews and survey. The literature and document materials can include EU and other relevant publications, on-line data bases and other published materials. There was conducted a Survey  on Dual career programs at sports club level focusing on talented athletes and coaches’ entrepreneurship and sport club management and experts interviews. The expected impacts of the Survey report are as follow:

  • raised awareness of talented athletes, coaches and stakeholders in sports about national and EU achievements in regard to dual career of athletes;
  • increased capacity to evaluate and choose optimal career paths, better understanding of EU sports policies and EU Guidelines on dual careers for athletes.
  • increased knowledge of partners on existing Dual Careers programs and policies on sports club level;
  • raised awareness of the EU Guidelines on Dual Careers of athletes and its implementation in the EU;
  • increased knowledge for tennis club managers on EU strategies in the field of Dual Careers for athletes, existing career counselling services for talented athletes and coaches.
